Musicals in Vienna 2024/2025

Musicals have always enjoyed great popularity and are a permanent fixture in the "City of Music".

Every year, Vienna's best-known musical theatres, the Ronacher and Raimund Theater, thrill audiences with brilliant international musical hits as well as their own productions. EXTENDED BECAUSE OF GREAT SUCCESS - He was a superstar - he was popular. The latest VBW in-house production tells the exciting and moving story of the young Viennese musician Hans Hölzel and his rise to world stardom in a spectacular and touching new musical created especially for Vienna by top-class international creatives. With over 60 million records sold, numerous number 1 hits and songs in the charts of 27 countries, Falco is still considered one of the most successful pop stars in Europe today.

ROCK ME AMADEUS - DAS FALCO MUSICAL is a tribute to the exceptional Austrian artist and honors Falco as an artist and a person. It was developed in collaboration with the Falco Private Foundation and long-time companions of Falco. His career began in the underground clubs of Vienna in the 80s. The self-created fictional character "Falco", his unforgettable songs and his eccentric and charismatic appearance made him world-famous in a very short time. In addition to Falco's greatest hits, the audience can expect an exciting journey through emotions, successes, escapades and the recurring inner turmoil of the "Falcon", which promises deep insights into his innermost self.

A phenomenon is back: new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Following the great success of CATS, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien is bringing Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA back to Vienna. Artistic Director Christian Struppeck is bringing Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which has never before been seen in German-speaking countries, to the Raimund Theater from spring 2024. The new production has already been completely sold out in the UK, the USA and Australia, where it was shown at the prestigious Sydney Opera House.

The legendary chandelier, thrilling passion and world-famous melodies
International critics rave that Cameron Mackintosh's new production is "bigger and better than ever before". The production impresses with many spectacular special effects - including the including the legendary chandelier -, the popular story and the breathtakingly romantic music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with all the world-famous songs such as "The Music of Night", "Think of Me", "The Phantom of the Opera", "That's all I ask of you" and "Masquerade" - with a large ensemble, accompanied of course by the VBW orchestra, also with a large cast. The VBW present a lavishly staged musical evening at the Raimund Theater that is extraordinary in every respect and not to be missed.
